At Drope, we value environmental concerns and honor our commitment to sustainability, making it a reality through different actions: We produce various bikinis and swimsuits made from recycled fishing nets removed from the oceans. Click here to learn more! All of our shipments are completely free of plastic use. All products are shipped in eco-friendly packaging made from recycled materials. We encourage all customers to recycle the packaging when discarding it. Regarding production, in order to minimize fabric waste, we reuse all leftovers from product cutting to create small accessories that we offer to our customers. In addition to being an environmentally responsible company, we also care about sustainable commerce. For this reason, we continually strive to support the national market: All of our raw materials and production are sourced from Portugal. We support several small and medium-sized businesses in the textile sector, aiming to help the growth of those who need it most. These actions not only create a comforting work environment but also boost our economy and the mutual growth of all businesses. If each person does their part, we will make our planet a better place. At Drope we value the environment very much and we honor our commitment to sustainability, making it a reality through different actions, one of the most important being recycling. In the production of some bikinis and swimsuits we use recycled fabric from fishing nets removed from the oceans. It is extremely gratifying to know that through a small gesture we can not only help to clean up the oceans but also contribute to protecting marine life from one of its greatest enemies: fishing nets! How do we do this? It all starts with Healhty Seas, an organization that, through collaborations with the fishing sector and the help of volunteer divers, collects nets that are lost at the bottom of the sea. Once caught, nylon fishing nets are recycled and transformed by econyl into yarn for the fashion and interiors industries. Econyl then supplies the yarn from the nylon nets to our fabric suppliers.

This type of data indicates that, if there is no change in behavior, by 2050 the sea could contain more trash than fish. A shocking reality, right? This is why the work of organizations like healthyseas is so important! Since its founding in 2013, they have managed to collect 515 tons of fishing nets and make them possible for reuse! As a brand, we are proud to work with companies that source recycled materials, as we believe it is essential to adopt sustainable practices at the production level that, in the short and long term, will make a significant difference.
